I broke my chain to clean it and the sprockets (2 hours worth). I had to get a master link with a clip instead of the one that nneds to be spiked. I ordered the tool for the correct master link, but I have a ride this weekend for a few miles and the tool will take a week to get here..
1) What is the opinion on a master link with the clip. 2) Will it hold up for a 100 mi round trip run?? 3) If its sh*t, then any idea what to do about making it trail worthy.... I may just be paranoid, but I could use a little info on this one... |

should be fine as long as it is the correct size. just take a spare with you. also install with the rounded end facing in the direction of rotation
