Default Polished vs billet tranny

Just havin one engine redone and already tossin around some ideas for my next build. I see you can buy a full billet transmission but is there any advantage over just havin the stock one polished?

I would assume billet would be alot stronger. Normally billet is much more pure metallurgically. Where did you find a billet tranny? I would like to find a way to change my tranny gear ratios. Where I ride most I need a lower first and a higher fifth.

polishing the trans (isotrophic finishing) does nothing for the strength of the gears

I have just been reading benefits are smoother shifting and a 1-2 hp gain. I was just wonderin if anyone had polished or billet and if it made a noticable difference.
