hey guys I have JD plus 2 a arms. The only adjustments to make the alignment correct is the camber....(the big nut on the a arm) and the toe adjustment(tie rods) Correct? If I am correct I understand that the camber has to be properly adjusted first. So how should I set up the camber? Thanks...I need help

It depends on how you want the front end set up, If you want 0* of camber, get your bike on a level surface, and use a level. Adjust till the wheel is straight up and down.

There is usually never any instance where you would want 0 degrees of camber.

Someone that knows for sure will probably chime in, but IIRC you want 2-3 degrees for general riding, and 3-4 for motocross.

I have mine set at 3 degrees and I ride every type of terrain and it works well for me.

I use a magnetic angle finder or usually an electronic level to set camber and it works great.

So with a positive camber I would want 3 degrees meaning the top of the front tires onthe inside should be closer together than the inside of the bottom of the tires?

You want Negative camber and Positive caster. The tire needs to be "in" at the top so when you throw the bike into the corner the top of the tire goes out and you keep the tire contact patch as vertical as possible.

If the upper arms have heims then they will be adjustable. Arms with solid mounts on the upper arm will not be.

Yes, technically it is negative camber, but how you are describing it is correct, and that is what matters.

But again, for future reference it is negative camber.
