i read someone mention they installed the battery under the hood on their 450er.

does anyone have any pictures of this? im wondering what you used for mounting, running the ground/power should be pretty simple.

search isint working for me tonight, and i already made one bad thread. i hope this isint number 2

I relocated the battery under my hood on my 07. Make sure that you cut the entire mount off of your subframe and then you can drill some holes into the frame at the front. Place your battery bracket where you want it and then drill your holes to match where your holes are on the frame. You need to countersink the screws so they are flush. I don't have any pictures right now, but I can get you some tonight if you really need them.

IS THERE ANY ADVANTAGE OF PUTTING THE BATTERY UNDER THE HOOD? WHY DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS?

That thread shows how to ADD a battery to an 04-05 and put it under the hood. Much different than relocating a stock battery on an ER.

Yes i know but it gives him a idea of how that one was mounted, as far as the wiring thats all got to be figured out from scratch.

hey there is a awesome airbox on ebay that has the battery relocation to inside the airbox if i had a batter that is definatly what i would want to do
