I've been looking at this 04 trx450-r, it's sprocket and chain(both stock) has siezed because he said he never lubed it. He also bent the steering arm, for a new 1 he just made 1 , and gave it 2.5 inch's lift.
He's asking $5,500 Canadian. Im offering $4800 Not asking advice on price, but do you think replacing a steel sprocket and chain will be expensive and is it a pain in the ass? |

He never lubed the chain all the time he owned the bike, what do you think that tells you about the more critical parts of the quad he probably also never paid any attention to???
But to answer your question, a DID X-ring 520 chain will set you back $65 and a set of good sprockets will cost you $35. Get everything from JH Racing - 918-688-0490. |

What things should I be looking out for if I take it for a test drive? I was thinking that also, if he cant make time to lube his chain, what other surprise will come along.
The body doesnt look that worn, but who knows mechinically? Any Advice would be greatly appreciated, plus is there any way to get it inspected like a car? Ill looking into both those companies for the parts if it does come to that, thanks! |
