Preferred Machinists?

I am helping a friend of mine rebuild his '04 with a Hot Rod's crank, Wiseco piston, HRC cam, basic stuff. The original owner gave us two heads, one was complete with valves but someone had (poorly) drilled and retapped the cam tower bolt threads with something slightly larger, and cut the bolts to fit. So I don't want to use that head. The other one was good, but didn't have either intake valve in place. So, I removed the intake valves and lapped them into the new head. One sealed perfectly, the other didn't. The more I thought about it, the more I really would like to do a complete valve job, clean the head up, resurface it, etc.

Don't trust the local shops that were recommended, and judging by how small the head is it can't be that much to ship it somewhere, so sending it wherever isn't an issue. This is one of those things that should be done as best as possible, correctly, the first time. Just want some suggestions on a reputable shop to help us out. Thank you!
