Thumbs up 07 trx450r Jetting.

I bought this quad for a few years on craigslist and its my first quad. I let a buddy ride it last season at pismo dunes and he said that I have a carb issue that possibly need to rejet, he said that it felt slow and that it bogs. The quad feels ok to me but then again I've never ridden another 450 before, so I really have nothing to compare to. Previous owner said that they rejeted it but dont know what they put in or even if they ever did it at all.

Quad has HMF slip on, Uni foam air filter, no airbox lid, and a outerwears airbox cover. Everything else is stock.

What would be ideal jetting sizes for this set up? Thanks

Jetting is different for each quad and where you are at. If the air box lid is off and the quad runs, someone rejetted it as it would not take throttle if you dont. Most people dont know how about it or know how to adjust the acc pump. Thats what needs to be adjusted to get rid of any bog you have of idle. Need to be richened up, so you need to find out what is in your carb and go to a smaller leak jet size.
Im at roughly 1200 ft and run a 168 main and a 60 leak jet with a full hrc kit, custom exhaust and KN lid
