Default 2006 trx450er engine rebuild

Hi guys I'm new to the forum need some advise.

So I got this quad from my buddies dad for free after doing a welding job for him turns later the left crank case was cracked so the engine is out now, Honda told me that the intake valves are stretched out to for shims so I need to get new ones.
So I was thinking if I have to rebuild it might as well go all out will a little more power right so I was going to go with this list of parts.

-Hot Rods Complete Crankshaft Assembly/ new crank bearings - Heavy Duty oem replacement
- Cylinder Works Big Bore Cylinder Kit 477cc
- Hot Cams Camshaft (Stage 2) or 3
- FmF factory 4.1 system
Not sure what I need to do for the cylinder head what would do you guys think I need?
Anything else I need or think about let me know thanks.

Okay first I would tell you and many will do also get a brand new oem crank not the hot rods, and oem bearings and gaskets!

About the exhuast if you buying new go with a Dasa more power is price about same (Dasa $469 from kbmotorsportsonline.com)

About the cylinder head I would send it off to get ported (the power is in the head, that's where u will find the most power)

If your cylinder is good I would just get a new cp pump gas piston and that's it

^X2! we seem to have almost identical builds going on. I got a lot of help on here with mine so definitely get a OEM crank. I chucked my damaged hot rods one straight into the trash can lol. Don't let the price of the hot rods bearings fool you, at first they seem to be a good price but I prefer paying a little more for oem quality personally.

Hey man your from around Calgary? Im from Rimbey! Anyways haha with mine I think I am going to start with the HRC jet kit and work off that, but Ill see what others say later. As far as cams, I personally like what I here about stage 2. Nice power gains everywhere it seems. That's what Im going to pick up for both my 450s. As far as the crank goes I would use your OEM crank if the play is in spec. Remember zero up zero down play is what you want. I would get the head ported too if your looking for some nice power gains. That with a carb bored out would make an awesome combination with the big bore and head port. I don't know much about valves so hopefully someone will chime in on that aspect of the build.

x2! and go with a high compression piston if you are going with the hot cam stage 3 they will feed off of each other

it really all depends on how far you want to take the porting and what valves you buy

I'd recommend sending your head out to Racers Edge in AZ. I think it was like 700$ to have my head done with all new SS valves, new guides, seats, springs, and cnc port work.... They offer great service, work and turn around time.

And the shop telling you that the valves have streached is no true... It's the valve seats and valve face that wears and need to be replaced.
