head pipe glowing

I got 08 450. It ran good last summer, I went to ride it couple days ago n the head pipe got real hot n glowing after 10min of riding. When I let off throttle it back fires and doesn't wanna idle

Pj clogged in carb or the ex gasket is leaking.

Id clean the carb. May not be letting enough fuel to the engine therefore making it run hot.

Todays 4 strokes run hot and glowing exhaust is normal, the back fire and idle is most def the Pilot jet and/or air fuel screw in carb or leaking exhaust gasket for backfire.

Yeah, I forgot to ad that it could possibly be the fuel screw maybe falling out. But just check the carb over good
