Question about the 08er decompressor recall

Quad wont start and everything and everyone is telling me chances are its the decompression. Im taking my quad in for a new decompressor nxt week being it is on recall anyways. Could the bad decompressor have messed anything else up & will Honda fix it if it has. Also, if i bump start it would it hurt to take it for a little ride like this?? Anyone who has delt with this please chime in and let me know. Im mechanically slow... Thnx!

Did it already brake? Or are you getting it fixed before it breaks?

Already broke. I think... Put a new battery in it and it still wont start unless i bump start it. Runs fine once it gets running though.
