el mamito yes i did. id rather purchase a money efficient full exhaust then taking the baffle out. and jets i no how to do. probly purchase the hrc jet kit. but is hmf the cheapest full exhaust with good gains? cause from all the threads i have read it kinda comes down to it. also in that uncorking ur 450r on budget what is the point in the intake ring that costs 30$??? thats another one of my main concerns, is it really worth it? and can you clamp a k&N on it? thanks guys lemme know!

First of all...the HMF system will be plenty for anything up to 60hp....and the TDC is even better for 60+hp builds.

Second...the transition ring is just an easy way to run a larger air filter (increased volume),while keeping the airflow path stable....but not really needed until you start getiing into the 50+ hp/high comp range.

whats the need for the filter? and theres many ways to do a lid without buying that kn powerlid too. you can buy outerwears by the sheet somewhere. just cut your lid and rivet or staple the outerwears to it. i just used pantyhose.

I just cut the back raised part of the lid out and put a outerwear pre filter on my UNI foam filter, it looks just like the HRC lid with out the defector on it(which wouldnt stop water from coming in anyway) I did everything in the UNCORKING UR R thread but the needle change i did a 182 jet and have a full FMF Factory 4 exhaust, and the machine runs like a raped ape.

From what I understand the ring ' smooths' the airflow coming in. it's not just about a ton of aircoming in, its also about the velocity it comes in. the ring gets rid of the lip which would slow the air down.....if I'm wrong...someone correct me...ha
