My Honda just went down with crank bearing issues. The case has to be cracked.... so I was thinking I might as well increase the stroke. Currenty I have an ESR480 kit, I have been looking at the Ice Cube stroker kits TRX522 and TRX542 is there a better option?. If I install one of these will my bike become only a drag bike or can i still ride trails? Any ideas???

The '05 model has 2 options, 498 or 542. And they are very reliable
from what I hear. Ill be getting the 498 myslef. I drag, ride dunes, and mx. It seems like the best option for me.

I like the idea of the 498. But the 498 Ice cube is just a cylinder kit. If I go that route, I would have to keep my stroke the same as stock. The crank needs to be replaced so should I use the OEM one or an aftermarket such as Falicon or Hotrods?

The kit includes a wiseco piston. And you can get it in one of 2 compressions.... a 13.7:1 and a lower compression pump gas one.
