You have a 04-05 bike. It only works for 06 and up.

True true, I guess I'm just not used to being a 'new guy' HA!!

So, now what? I've run out of questions for now.

Thinking of going ahead and starting a build/rebuild thread but not too sure on how this site is on builds that take a while (like haters an all that ya know?) cause this one will take a few months (maybe longer depending on if we start on it after the KDX).

Wait, thought of one.

The frame's vin says its an 06 but a buddy of mine just said the 06+ had e-start and a tank cover/plastic thing. Mine ha neither yet it's an 06 frame. So im thinking it's a late 05 frame or maybe an early 06 that got left over 05 parts.

So my question is: Are there any year specific chassis parts that I may need to figure out?

obviously it is an 06 frame though, so keep that in mind for certain things like nerf bars and other stuff. Aren't there motor mount mods that have to be done to put an 05 motor in an 06 frame?

Gimme a sec and I'll go grab the link to my walk around video....

(I just noticed, according to YouTube on my phone I have 100% down votes on the walk around video. What? Are people expecting to see a 100% ready to race project bike or some crap?! Friggin YouTube haters. Lol)

This video I showed the cylinder and head and other parts more in I think but it's a bit longer.

You can put your build thread under "General Discussion - trx450r.org Project Quads." Ya that bike looks like someone definitely had a lot of fun on it. I suggest you install either a hotcam along with a headpipe or just buy the HRC kit along with a few other goodies. But just look around the forums, youll see the usual upgrades and what not.

-PowerMadd Handguards
-DG V-Pro Bumper
-Pro Taper Pillow Top Grips
-Big Gun Eco Slip on
-GBC X-rex Tires
-Moose Racing Nerf Bars

When you sent me the pics of it the other night I didn't realize it was a 450r. I was busy in my shop tho, not paying much attention. My bad. Mine should be up and running by the weekend but its supposed to rain so I guess I won't get to try it out. :(

You should get the frame blasted and I got a guy you can get it powder coated cheap. I can do most of your other stuff, my oven is small. This is the place to come if your looking for parts, deals all the time.

KFX525 (basically a ltz400...and yes it still has reverse!)
64.33hp 41.57tq
+10mm stroker, 96mm ice cube, cp piston
13 paddle extremes, Hsr 48mm carb, big custom webs, ported and welded head, titanium valves, titanium wrist pin. Plus 8 swinger, drag axle, drag stem, carbon fiber bars, A few more things. 275lbs wet. Yep it's still heavy, but it's a duner!
