When you start an account, you fill out an application which is used to submit sponsorship requests through the website. You will also fill out your events you have competed in and track your results as well as posting your practice sessions. There are alot of great reputable companies involved with the website. It's a great tool for racers at any level; especially with the tough economic times.

Another good idea is just go around to the local shops and ask them if they are looking for any riders to represent them. Our sport has plenty of good people that are looking to help someone who needs it. What does it hurt a shop to give you some stickers and a few parts off the shelf. It doesn't matter if it's $10 grips or $100 tires. Thats $10 you can put towards your next race. Every little bit counts in the long run. A 10% discount doesn't seem like much but it really adds up when your short on cash.
