So, you want to get an aftermarket hood and still run the Honda lighting? Well until Trew Industries/FourWerx Came out with there 100% Carbon Fiber hood you were left with the idea of hacking up your new bike to make it happen. But now, with this new hood that is designed to work with the stock 06-08 Headlight you can upgrade your 04-05 machine to better lighting and styling.

Introducing the FourWerx Stealth II

To install the Stealth II Hood on a 04-05 TRX450R you will need the following items shown in the picture below. You can get them from VanWall or any local dealer. I was able to pick up a used light very cheap which included all the brackets and bolts, so I would suggest checking out the "for sale" section or other sources for used parts if you really want to save some cash. Some of the parts shown are not needed so I made a list of the parts with there Honda part number for you. You can use most of the bolts and what not from the 04-05 hardware you are about to remove so don’t throw them bolts out!

#1 HEADLIGHT UNIT
33110-HP1-600

#2 PIPE, CP
33113-MBW-D21

#5 STAY, R. HEADLIGHT
61105-HP1-600

#6 STAY, L. HEADLIGHT
61106-HP1-600

#7 STAY, HEADLIGHT
61108-HP1-600

#8 PLATE, HEADLIGHT
61109-HP1-600

#9 RUBBER, RR.
80116-MR1-000
You will need three of these.

#10 COLLAR
84706-HP1-600
You will need three of these.

#11 BOLT, FLANGE (6X12)
90004-GHB-610
You will need six of these.

#12 BOLT, FLANGE (6X25)
90004-GHB-670

#13 BOLT-WASHER (6X25)
93404-06025-08
You will need two of these.

Step by Step

1. You will want to remove the front plastics and stock 04-05 headlight housing and mounting hardware.
2. Remove the Fender Stays from the bike and discard.
3. Install the new fender stays #5 STAY, R. HEADLIGHT #61105-HP1-600 and #6 STAY, L. HEADLIGHT #61106-HP1-600. Note that the fender stays and the Headlight mounts are the same parts.
4. Attach the light to the fender stays/headlight mounts.
5. Locate and install #7 STAY, HEADLIGHT #61108-HP1-600 and #8 PLATE, HEADLIGHT #61109-HP1-600. You will need to drill mounting holes into the cross section of the frame for this portion. Be sure to put silicone sealant over the holes prior to running the bolt down in to keep things nice and sealed.
6. Once the rear of the light is all mounted up you can tighten down all the bolts and reinstall the lights into the headlight housing and hook up the wiring.
7. Reinstall your fenders.
8. Install your new FourWerx Stealth II Hood and enjoy the better light pattern of the 06-08 headlight and the killer look of your new hood.

When I get the time, I will take every thing off of mine and get pictures of each step to aid in your headlight / hood upgrade. But for now this will get you started.

Good one Steve, here is my walkthru for the headlight conversion to supplement your own.

I'm gonna be ordering myself a FourWerx hood to go with my new plastics!

No, the 04-05 wiring (part #3) is a direct fit into the 06-08 headlight housing.

$190 shipped for now.. Prices will be going up soon though due to the cost of carbon fiber going thru the roof.

SO get them cheap now..

Thanks, Jay

do you have to drill holes to do the 06-08 headlight conversion? i really want to do this conversion, it looks so much better than the 04-05 hood and light
