well right now i'm still running my hc3 that i had with with my 480 kit, but because of my recent bearing failure force me to go back to stock bore just wondering if it would benefit me to run the hc2 with my new setup, and what would be the pro and cons of either, i have already notice a little loss of the bottom end grunt that had with my 480,
any input is much appreciated, to help me make up my mind.

never mind i just read one of the other post in your section, i think the stg2 will be the better choice for me, i guess that will be my next thing on my list.

i was going to say stay with the hc3... lol but...... i prefer a top end heavy powerband. I like the power to build not fall off.

when say fall off you mean before rev limit.

i mean i'd rather have peak power higher in the rpms and plenty of overrev rather than have the power fall off more after peak.

gotcha, i think i'm already missing the tq of the 480 so if i can run the stg2 i get some of that back it would just be that much better,i'm already loving the fast rev and how it loves the top end of the stock bore high comp.

sounds like the stg. 2 is for you then... it will add some torque back in and probably be a good stump puller that revs out pretty good still.

yep... good info....
personally i prefer the power of the HC S2 for 90% of all my riding in michigan..... i test with all sorts of cams...but when i ride my own machines i am riding with a HC S2..... for exactly the reason of the extra\early torque..... in my own riding, i am much more likely to be accelerating FROM midrange TO the POWER PEAK.....than running FROM the PEAK to the REV LIMITER..... you have to evaluate your own riding and riding style...and then cam appropriately.... hope that helps....

the S2 will help a 450 feel a bit more like a 480 in the low to mid range power
