Durring the end of this summer I sold my Z400 to get a yfz. I bought an 04 yfz from riding buddy. It had a white brothers slip on, K&N filter, AC nerfs and bumper. After the purchase I did the cam mod and 07 squirter update. I thought it had enogh power till I got a chance to ride some Venom powered machines at silver lake. This made me decide to make one of my own. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a 14-1 stock bore piston, head porting, and a modified ESR intake.

After some great service and turnaround time I installed it last friday. Broke it in friday night, ran it on 300 ft sand drags saturday. Previously my best time was 5.45 seconds at 56 mph. Saturday my best time was 5.25 seconds at 58 mph on a very rough track. On a couple of the better runs I had my 60ft times were in the high 1.8 second range. I had a lot of trouble keeping the front end down. Need to work on a better setup now. Definetly has a better time in it. This was the last race of the season. I will have to find the right setup next year (gearing, tires, swingarm).

Its a whole new machine, revs out right now.

Between the family and hunting, I have not had much seat time yet. Plan on making a trip to silver lake this saturday. Cant wait to try it out there.

Thanks to John (mixxer) for the build and great service.

Very nice gain witti. Did you get out to SL to drag it? You still have more you can do to bro. Better Venom exhaust, intake and bigger carb. You got that head ported fast to BTW,and put back together in no time.

Yes I made it silver lake. Had a good time. Not many people racing while I was there. Had one honda that was side by side with me, no one else gave me much of a run.

I talked a little with John about his pipe. Need to save up a little more money now. By spring I would like to have a Venom pipe, Sredrum bored carb, also hope to get it on the dyno to tune it.

Sounds good witti. I can't wait till spring bro. We will have to go to the dyno the same day. Till then take it easy.
