Just wanted to show this graph of a YFZ using the Fuel Custom Intake. Blue is all stock and red is the Fuel Custom (plus HotCams and Pulse Charger, so don't misinterpret the power gain as a sole result of the intake).

This is one of the flattest fuel traces you will ever see. You'll pull your hair out trying to get a line this smooth and consistent with other intakes, very impressive. I'm dying to see how one of these will work on a TRX.

there is a reason why all the factories choose to go with a wide diameter filter end and a constant taper to the carb bell.... quite a few reasons actually

the FCI intakes are taking over where the factories call it "good enough" and are going for all the extra they can get within the design limitations imposed by the frame\suspension

last summer Mr, Habit and i were discussing how to go about making such an intake....short of having access to an injection molding factory.....

but it seems as though FCI was already a step ahead..... all props to them

great mid to top curve....more of a plateau actually :)

The first set-up with the FCI was also flat like that but, that was on a VERY dialed in machine and I attributed it to the fact that I had worked extensively with this machine to get it there. This machine was done with baseline jetting from the last FCI install and one main jet change after the first pulls the machine made. A total of 13 runs!!! The first series of pulls was 8 pulls to get the machine up to operating temp. I rejetted and it took another 5 before it lost power due to heat soak. Simply AWESOME. I left it that rich purposefully and will dial it when in the spring before the first race.

That is a properly designed velocity stack, it just happens to have a turn in it.
