is it possable to put a 450r swingarm on a 300ex, if so does it just bolt on or are there other adjustments needed??????

many adjustments needed. the 300ex is the same as the old 350x. it has taken a lot of machine work to make mine fit.

the front of the swinger has to be shaved on each side...bushings need to be made for inside...and the swingarm bolt for the 450r has to be shortened and rethreaded.

Using 450r shock and linkage. May have to weld new mount for frame. Picks when done. Roughly a month and a half left to this project

Anxious to see......as I rode a 300ex for 8 years.

I still think they are a great little bike for the woods.

the upper part of the swinger has to be shaved, typically the 450r shock is much too stiff for use on the 300ex or 350x...do to my size and how I ride, it is however better suited for me than the usual 250r shock that people use.

I should be getting some things back in the next month or so, then off to the powdercoater...

No they are not. The 300ex swingarm is wider at the pivot and the shock mounts differantly at the lower mount.
