Well I just bought a kms turbo kit from a member here for a darn good price where I couldn't pass it up. Comes will everything to set up, once it comes in I'll snap pics and do research. But I know this will be a big undertaking so please be patient as I know it's gonna take time. N e info on subject would help me out greatly. But first business is for me to find another engine and chassis to start building. Drags start in may so I'm gonna try my best to get it ready for opening day but if I get it ready this season all I gotta say is watch out banshees. I n e people can help with tuning or setup notes it would be great. Thanks

I would definitely be down to test it out against ya I know some pple will be much faster than me but itll be fun. I'm just looking for low 4's in 300 and maye high 6 in 8th. We will see I guess, this may take a while to finish though. No one around here has tried a turbo drag quad out so I'm just curious how good she will go.

So my plan was going to be sb/ss but I dont think that will be the case. I will probly make it a 500cc with port but once I talk to r.e., kms and nuckinfuts I think it will give me a better idea of exactly what I wanna build. The main purpose will be a 300ft drag quad which I hope the turbo will work good but I think 500ft would work better but there is not n e around but there is a asphalt drag way close. Thanks for the tip brenny. I think I'm going carb cuz I heard f.i. Doesn't work well with kickstart. If any one has heard different please let me know. I think I'm gonna go with a 48 lectron to start with. If any one has another carb that worked well, please share. Thanks and I'll update as I go, I found a decent priced 04 trx I'm gonna check out tonight and hopefully bring home to start the project. Thanks for the interest.

Dont blow tru a lectron, you can draw thru and id run alky. Im goin efi but im usin one f our stand alones and kickstartin. Ive got a 50mm setup with triple pjs and billet bowl i was gonna use but since im goin efi i dont need it. Another thing with alky you might not need an intercooler if its drag only but give john a call.

I would stick with Kelly at KMS since it is his kit. RE and Futs have a ton of knowledge too but since it is a KMS kit, it makes sense to stick with them.
Be careful on how big or how much boost you go. The Honda cases can only handle so much power before they go "BOOM". I think it is around 120HP or so. I know Kelly found the limit. I am sure RE did too.

One thing you may want to look into is having your crank beefed up. Kelly at Kms can do it. Having that mod will keep the crank from flexing under a boost which will keep the cases together. There are 2 turbo bikes out there that are making 120+hp, that i know of (hondas). I would use a 48hrs carb with a power jet, or possibly a 46-48mm Lectron.
