I got a set of brand new sandstar 20x11x9 rears...I am putting them on douglas 10x9 .190 wheels....The bead seated just fine but about 1/4 " of the wheel is sticking out (the lip of the wheel) on the in and outside of the tire. None of my other tires are doing this. Is it normal or am I doing something wrong? This is the correct wheel / tire match...right? any help would be appreciated!!!

wrong rim size, 20x11x9 are for a 9x9 or 9x8 rim. first number in the rim size is the actual rim diam. second number is the rim width. on the tire first number is the overall tire height, second is the width of the tire, third number is the size rim it goes on and in your case a 9 in. rim.

what he said /\ /\.......i'm guessing you just stated your wheel size backwards, since a tire for a 9" dia wheel will NOT fit on a 10" dia wheel.
so you probably have 9" dia X 10" wide wheels, right? i had the same problem when i mounted my sand stars on 10" x 10" wheels. i also tried mounting them on a friends 9" wide wheel. same thing, just not as bad. you really need a 8" wide wheel for those. the tire carcass is just too stiff to allow it to spread out to fit the wider wheels.

My sand stars did the same thing when I bought them. The shop that I bought them from was very cool about it and just swapped them to 8" wide wheels. Problem solved. They sit nice a flush with the wheel now.

yeah gw.....i would not run them that way. i looked on itp's website but could not find anything on wheel width recommendations. if you want to ride this weekend, why not mount them on your stock honda wheels? they are 9" x 8". i would also call RM and see if they will swith you over to 8" wide wheels.
