8 in wide tire "will" fit on a 9" wide rim. why you would do this is beyond me.

tire made for a 8" tall rim will not fit on a 9" tall wheel. It might if you get a tire press large enough and the beads don't snap.

being messed over by a well known . org member sucks :(

Now wait a minute a 9" wheel dia will go on (maybe over) a 8" rim. The 64 dollar question is does he want it to hold air?????????

Why am I picturing somebody trying to pound a square peg in a round hole???

Grady, are you insinuating that Sloverado told you that an 8" dia tire would fit on a 9" dia rim, or did you assume that it would?

sorry, there is no chance of fitting a 8" hauler on a 9" rim.
the last number is the size of the rim (eg. 20x11x9).
20 is the height
11 is the width and
9 is the rim diameter

hope this cleared it up for ya
